Dádá Vijayánandajii used to make the transcriptions of BABA´s discourses by hand and BÁBÁ wanted to see those transcriptions in printed form immediately. In those days there were no computers or cars in AMPS India. Dada Piyushánanda used to come early in the morning by bus to get those transcriptions and in same the evening or early the next morning he returned with printed transcriptions. Dada Vijayánandaji used to correct the errors immediately and Dada Piyusánanda had to run back to print them so that they could be presented to BÁBÁ. It was a big tension. Sometimes there was no money to print the books, so he had to ask for loans from somebody. A few years later printing machines were installed at our Camp HQ of Tiljala. BABA was giving talks and discourses on different subjects and immediately HE liked to see the books. Dada Piyushánanda completed HIS desire.
After Baba's physical departure, Dada Piyushánanda supervised the construction of “The Marga Guru Memorial” at Tiljala, Kolkata, and he started Prabhat Library, a publishing house at College Street in Kolkata. He worked tirelessly for Baba's Mission until his final breath.
To me Dada Piiyushanandaji was the ideal Karma Yogi. He absolutely loved his work and remained a simple, devoted WT for his entire life. He was so friendly and brotherly to me at all times. He embodied the saying, “Simple Living, High Thinking”. Dadaji was one of those great saints that live and work silently in Ananda Marga always producing and contributing positively to His Mission.
