Dada Ranendrananda

Born in Kedah, Malaysia, he was initiated at age 21 in 1983, when his older sister Jaya brought him to Dada Citbhodanandaji. He studied chemical engineering at University Malaya. The family did not have enough money to rent a room for him in Kuala Lumpur, so the Sectorial Secretary, Dada Citkrsnananda, arranged that he could stay in the jagrti. He was a brilliant student and a very disciplined margii. Towards the final year of his study, he was inspired to go for Wholetimer training. None of the family members could stop him. His decision was final and so, in 1988 he left for Davao WT Training Center in Maharlika (Philippines).

After graduation in 1990, instead of proceeding to India to see Baba, he was asked to work for a while on the Los Baños Master Unit. He was there when Baba left his body, so he never saw Baba physically. Yet Dada Ranendrananda was one of the best storytellers, and he had an endless stock of devotional stories.

He worked in Istanbul, Turkey from 1991-1993. He then worked in Malaysia and Indonesia from 1993-1998. Then he was posted as a Sectorial Prout worker in New York Sector with his headquarters in Texas from 1998-2003. In 2003 he was transferred to be a Prout worker in Georgetown Sector, with headquarters in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. He became fluent in Portuguese and taught many yoga teacher training courses. He died due to a fall in the Belo Horizonte jagrti. He was 59.
