"Arun with his untamed red hair reaching for the sky, his infectious laugh letting you know there was joy in the room, his beautiful linear face coveted by Van Gogh and Picasso for their masterpieces, his long Paul Bunyan strides, his ability to see the sublime in the ridiculous , his sense of awe, his playfulness, his ability to laugh at his own shortcomings, his joy in other people's successes, his worrying about his daughters happiness, his love of the arts and teaching, his caring for other people's children, his ability to not see you for a year yet pickup a conversation like you had been talking together yesterday will be truly missed. A fine husband, loving father, great friend, and true devotee, you will always remain in our hearts." --a remembrance from Bhaskar (New Haven)
