We are deeply saddened to inform all brothers and sisters about the demise of our respected senior monk, Acarya Bhavaprakashananda Avadhuta, who passed away on 7th February 2026 at 1:30 AM. He was 82 years old and had been suffering from prolonged illness. For the past six months, he had been undergoing treatment at Prout Bhavan, Patna. His health deteriorated seriously yesterday evening, and he was taken to the hospital in an unconscious condition, where he breathed his last.
Acarya Bhavaprakashananda Avadhuta dedicated his entire life to the service of the mission, tirelessly engaging in ideological pracar across villages and rural areas. He served for a period at Chief Training Secretary Varanasi and rendered long and valuable service as the editor of the Hindi Prout magazine published from Prout Bhavan, Patna. In his later years, he served as Diocese Secretary of Arrah, Bihar, which was his last posting.
His unwavering commitment, simplicity, cordial nature, and gentle sense of humor endeared him to all WTs and Ananda Margiis. His passing is an irreparable loss to the organization, and his contributions will always remain cherished in our hearts.
On behalf of Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha, we offer our heartfelt tributes to his departed soul and pray to our beloved Baba to grant him eternal peace in His divine lap.
Yours in fraternity,
A'ca'rya Ramendrananda Avadhu'ta
Central Public Relations Secretary
Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha
