Ácárya Premánanda Avadhúta

Ananda Marga Pracaraka Samgha expresses its profound sorrow at the physical departure of our revered senior monk, Ácárya Premánanda Avadhúta, who breathed his last at 3:38 PM on 12 September 2026 at Rangpur Medical College Hospital, Bangladesh, at the age of 86.

Ácárya Premánanda Avadhúta began his life as a whole-time worker of Ananda Marga in 1982. In 1990, Revered Baba personally conferred upon him Avadhúta Diikśá, marking an important milestone in his dedicated spiritual and missionary life.

For nearly four decades, he rendered tireless service in Bangladesh, working with remarkable dedication, discipline and commitment to the ideals of Ananda Marga. Through his long years of service, he inspired and initiated many spiritual aspirants in Bangladesh and India, leaving behind a large spiritual family of diikśá brothers and sisters.

Despite suffering from colon cancer and, during the last two years, paralysis, he continued to embody courage, perseverance and surrender to the Supreme. His life as a hardworking monk, devoted Ácárya and dedicated servant of humanity will remain an inspiration to the entire Ananda Marga family.

His physical departure is an irreparable loss. We offer our deepest condolences and heartfelt respects and pray to Parama Puruśa for his onward spiritual journey and eternal shelter at His divine feet.

Our humble and heartfelt Shraddhánjali.

Baba Nám Kevalam. 🙏

In Him,

Nitish yadav
