It is with great sadness we share the passing of our sister Tvarita. Taking initiation in the early 1970’s, Tvarita spent 6 weeks in India having Baba’s darshan each day, before receiving her Personal Contact. Regardless of circumstances, she was tireless in her commitment to service, pracar, and living the principles of Neohumanism. Tvarita was active over the past 50 years in both AMURTEL and AMURT, serving on both boards the entire time.
With her deep love of animals, Tvarita’s house and yard were filled with stray cats, turkeys, raccoons, and many, many birds. Somehow all seemed to get along in harmony.
Tvarita was very active in her community, teaching yoga and participating in multiple service groups. Everyone in her town knew of her deep commitment to meditation and AMURTEL, and would offer support for various fundraising and pracar events.
A small shraddha ceremony was held in her community following Tvarita’s passing, and a notice will be shared with our Margii community for an on-line memorial to be held in the coming month.
We will all miss Tvarita’s warm presence and infectious smile along with the example she set in living His ideology.
